Setanta Sports going down the pan ......

Setanta Sports is not accepting new subscriptions at this time.

The beleaguered pay TV sports broadcaster's subscription website reports that it is "down for routine maintenance". Messages left on its phone line tell prospective customers that the subscription option is "temporarily out of order" and that they should "try again later".

The development comes as Setanta is reported to be close to administration after defaulting on a 3m payment to the SPL.

I cancelled my direct debit with my bank and they've still been taking the payments because they had my details on file so just reinstated it.

    Can they do that?

They done that to us my mum tried to cancel 3 times and each time they said they had no record of our phone call, Promised us 2 months free and a refund and gave us an email to email which we have about 4 times so in the end cancelled the direct debit then still got charged last month.

I can't wait for it to go to shit i might actually get rid of the channel and its shit fucking picture quality.

To be fair why should sky bail them out? plus its a fucking shit deal. Sky customers can already get access to Setanta's 46 live games by adding setanta to their package. So basically it's like they are asking sky to lend them £50 million.

Of course they will tell them to fuck off.

The reason people don't subscribe to it is because it's shit and those that do subscribe can't cancel the bloody thing.

I hope ESPN tell them to fuck off as well and just take over their football rights and broadcast them in HD like they show sports in HD in America.

NUFC leaving the PL & loads of Mags quitting Shitanta has speeded the decline up of a company that forgot how it built its self up & instead wanted to be SkySports.
