BBC Radio Newcastle have reported that around 42,000 applications had been received by the club for the upcoming FA Cup semi-final.

Our allocation is thought to be in the region of 32,000 with opponents Manchester United confirming that they received 31,650 places.

Newcastle have been allocated the North end of the Millennium Stadium

Tuesday's Evening Chronicle carries news that the club have received around 33,000 applications for FA Cup semi final places.

(BBC Radio Newcastle had mentioned a figure of 42,000 last week but this has now been discredited)

It's estimated that we have 41,000 season ticket holders and with our Cardiff allocation thought to be in the region of 32,000 then most applicants should be successful - although no public sale will take place.
