The Newcastle Jewelers opposite the fire station does it, i got rid of some old shite and so did my sister.
There's also a guy who sits outside river island in Eldon now and then who checks your jewelry and makes an offer.

    They will rip you off.

The spot price for 24 carat gold is between 900-1000 dollars an ounce (or was last time i checked). So work that out in pounds and its DOUBLE what these people are offering.

You'd probably make more money selling it on ebay.

    just checked this website http://www.bestpriceforgold.co.uk/

an ounce is just over 28 grams, £18.75 per gram of 24 ct gold, £530 ish, which is about $830

so they are ripping you a bit, but it's hassle free unlike ebay so i'd say it's worth it

never realised gold was worth that much, looks like i might get a bit more than i though :D

Aye your best off looking around.

Anyone who is spending money on advertising on TV is making it off you by giving you a shit rate.

The spot price for gold is 1065 dollars, so whoever is doing this is making 200+ dollars every time you sell them an ounce of gold.

    Nice little earner eh ;)

ah yea i totally agree, if you've got loads to get rid of or a small about of high carat then it's gna be worth huntin for a good price cos it'll make a big difference

i'm not gna get that much though, maybe a few hundred looking at those rates, so a quick sale will do me
