    second hand 1210's

whats ur opinions on getting second hand 1210's? i know there a deck that will not break easily n i cant realy afford new ones at the minuite so i want to get second hand ones.

another thing.....are 1210's the best deck to go for. i think so as clubs use them and when playing out its probs a good idea to be able to use 1210's well. i have some numarks and i can dj well on them, are 1210's hard to use?

any advice would be much apreicated

    :)

1210's 2nd hand are almost expensive as buying new... they hold their value for a good reason.

I have had second hand technics for about 2 and half years. The pitch went after about 2 years of using them for nights house partys etc.
You can get the pitch fixed for about £50, mine are nearly as good as new now and my mixing has come along way since i have had them.

there is a 'fix' or a bodge u can do to remove the 'click' from the pitch control on MK2s - some people feel then you're mixing close to the centre of the pitch control, u often find when it 'clicks' into the 'green' light or from green to red, it's a higher (or lower) dip in pitch and makes it hard to mix cause u can't get it spot on - it's too fast or too slow - not enough control.

there's some instructions around somewhere... u gotta dismantle the desk, room the pitch control and remove a bearing i think....
