Screen resolution Due to major computer problems, I have recently had to buy pretty much a new computer (motherboard, hard drive, graphics card etc). However, the screen resolution (which was 1024x768 on both and is still on the same monitor) now looks bigger than it used to and I'm not used to/don't like it. I've tried all the other resolutions and none of them look right. Am I stuck with this or is there something I can do to change it? I'm also guessing this is why the font in IE looks different too? Thanks.
Re: Screen resolution Try getting the most up-to-date version of your graphics card driver. That might do the trick.
You can change the font size of IE under "View -> Text Size" then change it back to medium. With regards to resolution 1024 x 768 is rather shit. I'd suggest using either 1152 x 864 or ideally 1280 x 1024. It may look smaller initially but you will get used to it pretty quickly. This is all providing you have a 17" + monitor though
The next one up doesnt read right (the screen goes sort of blurry) and the smallest just looks tiny. Suppose I could get used to that one though, it just strains my eyes a bit.
