Scope & Sam Ball - Nocturnal w/Roberto Rodriguez Mix It was inevitable that two of house music’s rising and ever reliable talents would get together for a studio collaboration, both with a string of successful singles on some of the most respected labels about, and regular headline Dj slots around the world. More importantly the two talented producers have created a sound for themselves that is instantly apparent and recognisable; whatever other night-time studio shenanigans that took place on Irish soil, the appropriately named “Nocturnal” is a superb cut of house music, that is sure to be heavily supported. The Original is a classic example of the sound where both Ric and Sam really shine, creating an uplifting track with heavy percussion driving the sweeping synths and rich pads through perfectly placed key changes. The breakdown that proceeds is essential and really does take the track to a peak before dropping back into its techno edged groove with plenty of melody to contain the pounding drums. On remix duties we are excited to have Finland’s Roberto Rodriguez of Future Beat Investigators, who has been causing a bit of a stir in recent months with his deep house and techno for labels such as Compost, Sonar Kollektiv, Mood Music and Freerange. His remix warps some of the original melodies into a great combination of minimal house with a cool deep Detroit techno vibe. Available to buy now...
