Yes. It not an ideal situation a non English manager but he does speak english, he can hold press conferences in English but he's not fluent but i believe he's meant to be taking lessons and hes a quick learner. Anyways i'd prefer to have and English manager but lets be honest, McLaren, Curbishley and Allardyce havent really had the experience of football at the top level and it seems that we wont get O'Neil who was my preffered choice of a non Englishman. Scolari is a brilliant manager, he's proved it by wining the copa libitidaries or however its spelt with Gremio, he's took Portugal too the semis of the Euopean Championships and won a world cup with Brazil....wherever hes went hes won things.....Yes hes not English but hes a better manager than Steve Mclaren. Plus hopefully we'll be playing sexy attacking football the brazilian way.
here's hoping He's the right bloke for the job imo, as people have already pointed out he's got a proven track record, hopefully he can build on what we have and take the team further
right man ! world cup winner euro 2004 finalist , knows international football inside out ! has the respect , wont be scared off by so called big names ! and as for those who say the manger should be english ! wtf do you know about football. there is no english manager with enough experience to do the job better than scolari !
it's certainly very hypocritical coming from current managers, especially those who are quite happy to buy large numbers of foreign players to add to their squad Gordon Taylor (PFA) pisses me off: With the england job people want the right bloke to do it; would you rather have an english coach with no proven record or a brazilian one with a list of previous honours longer than his arm?
so glad mclaren/mike baldwin aint getting it, he is proper rub. if they were gonna give it to a foreign coach though, it should of been gus hiddink.
