Saturday 15th December at Goodgreef Tall Trees Xmas Residents Classics & Anthems nigh Goodgreef offer up a Xmas party thoroughly enthused with seasonal spirit, the perfect gift to their legions of up for it clubbers who pack the venues out month after month. After spending a year moving even further forwards, gracing Ibiza and continuing to take the GG staple sound to clubs, fields and tents across the UK, December’s gift is to revisit the tunes that have soundtracked Goodgreef throughout its history. The bouncy classics that have had the nutters who cram into the clubs pogoing relentlessly in unison! The stomping groovers which have kept the feet on the dancefloor! And those spine-tingling moments of euphoria that leaves the hairs on the back of the next standing tall!!! Getting together the Tall Trees residents who’ve been there all along to play is another masterstroke form the club, meaning the Djs who have been most important in delivering these records will be in attendance to showcase themselves and their sound. A Truly special night, this event sums up exactly why Goodgreef is so good at delivering the events clubbers want to go to! Headlining is Goodgreef’s resident superstar Adam Sheridan, the man who has been there since the off and contributed to the success of the club more than anyone else. 2007 has been good to Sheridan so far, continuing his sky rocketing trajectory towards the djing elite with a superb run of form. He’s cemented his status with gigs at the biggest and greatest festivals for ravers across the globe; Creamfields, Holland’s Dance Valley, Mayday and the infamous Berlin Love Parade all hosting his signature sound of searing tech trance. He’s also recently compiled an exclusive mix for iTunes, available to download on the site which has broken him to a new audience. And the productions keep coming thick and fast; recent banger ‘Studio 5-Exercise’ has seen support form Tiesto and recently crowned World number one DJ Armin van Buuren, whilst ‘La Fiesta’ and his remix of Nimrod’s ‘My Life’ have been huge 2007 hits. Surely Adam will deliver only the greatest moments in GG’s history on a night which celebrates the intensity of the club’s scorching musical output, proving his considerable skill as a performer and of Goodgreef’s indelible mark upon the musical structure of modern dance music! Up next is wonder-kid Dark by Design aka Gaz West, who’s set on the night will feature some very special edits and reconstructions of the tunes that have made GG what it is! Each and every Gaz West gig breaks new ground in hard dance performance, constantly pushing back the boundaries of what we expect the music to be. A Classics night gives him the opportunity to create his own spin on the music that has shaped the Goodgreef sound, adding an individual twist to the records that have consistently gained huge responses on Goodgreef’s floor. This man’s talent is not in question; winning the best remixer accolade at the Hard Dance Awards in 2006 underlines this, and his musical vision of Goodgreef’s past will guarantee an exciting and unique twist on the classics format! Also playing is Glaswegian trancer Barry Connell, his fusion of razor sharp hard grooves and hands in the air melodies winning him an army of fans. 2007 has also been good to Barry, seeing some stunning performances at Judgement Sundays which won the adulation of the famous spectacled Radio One presenter, an appearance at Eddie Halliwell’s seminal Fire it Up! Party and a very special residency at Scottish Hard Dance superclub Inside Out! He’s been a part of Goodgreef for four years, having been signaled out as one to watch early on in his career, and has repaid the early faith shown in him by never failing to do anything other than blow away the clubbers at each performance. A Classic artist for a classic event, Connell’s innate talent to deliver will ensure this party goes down in Goodgreef’s history as one of the greatest! Also playing on the night is bosh veteran and Goodgreef favorite Shan, a man who never fails to entertain, as well as GG’s whippersnappers Mark Maitland and Gary Proud. GG North East & Junior G resident Mark gets to showcase his versatility with 2 sets, Main Room techno warm up and electro set in Room 2 featuring most of his own productions from his new label Electrika, he is joined by Junior G trance resident & local hero Gary as he makes his main room GG debut! Toddy & Dave M support Mark with some of his own sleazed-out house and electro filth to keep everyone rocking all night long in the second room.
