After seeing all the press and hype, I'll admit I was put right off it. When it came through though I was pretty surprised. Nice deep breaks, and pretty chilled. Magnetic North has a bit of a 80's Depeche Mode edge while a lot of the rest reminds me of Brian Eno.
Not the best album ever, someone's either being very well paid or just dillusional, but certainly worth the wait. ;)

can't deny me roots man! :groovy:

I keep banging on about floyd on here but no-one seems v interested. reckon anyone who likes leftfield, cheeba, chems, this new sasha CD etc etc has gotta love some of the floyd stuff.... probly not the early wacked outta ya head on acid stuff*, but dark side, wish u were here, animals, the wall, meddle are all top class shit, despite being up to 30yr old!

*e.g. Careful with that Axe Eugene takes a special state of mind to fully appreciate :groovy:

    kids today

Really don't get this insistance on no. of tracks and cd length. So what if there's only like 8 tracks or it doesn't fill the 74-80mins of a CD. Most of the time that's exactly what you get - filler.

it's only been out a week yet! Anyone got any idea what sales have been like....???? Not that mass sales is any measure of a CD's quality anyway  otherwise spice girls would be better than leftfield innit :p

wouldnt call this energetic dance at all Phil, so dont think you'd like it too much..... more soulful than energetic it is..... but still a damn fine CD if you like that sort of thing
