would be very interesting if it was, vuzz tried a few times and never got very far. it will be even harder to book him now as hes been more or less exclusive in the uk to the Gallery, Gods, Inside out and Slinky the last 12 months has not really played anywhere else, though he is playing for Cream in may as well. his dates are up on his site till july as well and theres nothing in there, and i dont think hes played a small night in the uk since he played for Refresh in scotland about 2 yrs ago. fair play if anyone has booked him like
i was chatting with his agent, jay pidgeon on a trance forum & he said that he has planned what sander will play in the north east.... :angel2:
ive given up hope of seeing him local and am going to the arches in june for my b'day would be good if he was to play in the N/E like
who do u reckon will be playing in n/e this yr then, in light of the gossip maitlands kicked off in the banter forum?
i asked richard tulip at the boat about promise booking sander, he said he would love to though didnt think that enough people in newcastle would know who he was to fill a club. sad but probably true imo i know how hard it was to get people to come to vuzz even for people like ronski speed, riley & durrant ect. the night was at a constant loss and was always struggling to keep going. If Mark manages to get the balance right between someone that enough people want to see to fill a club though that isnt going to cost silly money to book then he deserves a lot of credit Id love to see Sander, and people like Alex Morph, Stoneface & Terminal, Kyau vs Albert, Andy Moor, O'Bir, Askew, Marcos, and doubt that any of them would be massively expensive to book as they have all played for smaller nights (though no doubt O'Bir's fee has increased quite a bit over last 18 months) id like to think that there is enough of a scene in newcastle to fill a smaller club for the rest of them, i for one would defo support a night that had the balls/money to try
vuzz was midweek which i bet made a hell of a difference, cant say about how they marketed it because ive lived in the sticks for last 9 yrs
im also intrigued to see whether maitland has secured a monthly residency at the cosmic glitterball.......newcastle does need it admittedly but house music has too much influence on these places..........will you make more money with house, or trance?
Vuzz was fortnightly saturdays mate, it was Twisted logic that was midweek at liquid. The cosmic ballroom is a good venue, though i dont think there has ever been a trance night there, not to my knowledge anyway so will be interesting to see if it works, if that is where Mark's night will be
aha always thought vuzz was a saturday in that case its a fucking mystery why it didnt pull numbers in.........particularly with ronski speed etc there
Re: Re: Re: sander van doorn I replyed to a few posts mounths back saying sander van doorn should come up to the north east to play. But people said there would be no intrest! Not enough people would turn up. Dismising the fact that tek dj management would bring up over here to play! If there was enough intrest! My point if people show more intrest to some booking agents in this forum we would get more names in newcastle!
Yeah the best venues are digital and probs the other rooms! Are any other decent bar/clubs, what about tokyo m8!.
