    Apparently it happens occasionally if the hangman misjudges the length of the rope in comparison to the weight/build of the person being hung. A good hangman can 'size people up' perfectly.

    Or something like that. I read something about a hangman ages ago, I'm not just a freak, I promise. :D

    I utterly oppose capital punishment, no matter what the person's done, and this is one of the reasons.

    I'm ashamed our government is letting this happen with only the odd 'isn't it poor'. I respected Prescott for the very first time for his outspoken attack on it.
