I see the yanks have sent there big guns out as the first as pairing:eek:

    Yet this is happening:

    1355: EUROPE WIN HOLE.
    Woods/Mick'son v M'gomerie/H'ington 2up after three holes.
Padraig Harrington holes for a birdie on the short second.

Always an excellent contest and it will be very close again.

I think it will come down to how the rookies perform rather than the big guns, since both sides have 5. The way Luke Donald has been playing recently means he could make a big impact, plus he learned his trade over in the US while at college

    Woods/Mickelson v M'gomerie/H'ton 4 2 up

    Love/Campbell v Clarke/Jimenez 3 1 up

    Riley/Cink v McGinley/Donald 2 a/s

    Toms/Furyk v Garcia/Westwood 1 1 up

    good start

Pauls Casey has holed an absolute crucial put for the 8-5 lead!

Only 5 1/2 points needed to retain :king:

    8-4 it is mate. :)

But yeah, some turnaround in that last match. 1 down with 2 to play, then Howell gets a 2 at 17, and Casey a 4 at the last. Europe take the point. Had we lost that one, it would have been 7-5.

    Too many beers

It's 14 points to retain. Sutton has placed his players in the order they qualified for the singles.

    Moan the team Europe! :D
