    Running Trainers

Is there a brand to go for with these? I played indoor football for 30mins on Friday with my Adidas Superstar II trainers on and my feet are in tatters. Gonna head into town tommorow to get some real trainers. I'll mostly be using them for running so those football style trainers will be no good. Am I right in thinking Asics are a good brand to go for?

    Cheers.

Oh, and the cheaper the better ;)

I am after some myself, your feet get shot to bits if the trainers arent the best to be honest.

From what i have seen Asics have been the best, i am willing to pay the money if there decent enough n comfy and will last.

    Haha.

Aye Tk Maxx has some gems hidden amongst the luminous pink woolen underpants and the likes..

I'll have a look in there tomorrow. Asics seem to have the widest range like.

Start Fitness in newcastle (opposite the police station) is probably the best bet, they have cheaper shoes aswell as top of the range ones... i would suggest having a look in there

Aasics and New Balance would be a pretty safe bet. Don't be tempted by the price either, more expensive doesn't mean they are better. Unless you are buying them from a specialist running/gym shop do some research beforehand and check if they suit your running style, just because they feel comfortable when you try them on for a few seconds in the shop doesn't mean they will offer the support you need.

yeah, i bought a pair of them for running in and they are still spot on :)

Aasics and all the other specialist one's are just too expensive if your not a hardcore runner, plus you cant really wear them other than when your training etc because it looks like you've got some elaborate exo-skeleton on your foot.

which is why i bought those addidas, but in white :)

and doing any form of exercise in superstars is hell on for your sole's like

Nonsense, you can get Asics running shoes that offer much better support than those in the ebay link for cheaper than that.

They dont look like they'd be any good for a decent amount of running/various sports. You can get Asics trainers for £30 upwards. I'm just bearing in mind what Claire said about the type of trainer though. I'll have to find out what kind of foot I have before I buy anything :p
