Running old games on Windows XP

Is there any way that I can run old games like Sensible World of Soccer on Windows XP?

    Thanks. :)

SWOS works fine for me! Sadly I can't get my joypad working with it! :(

I have SWOS for the Amiga emulator which is better but it crashes when I try to start a new career! :(

    Life is never easy!

as sad as it sounds....i have games like "star trek - a final unity" and broken sword, and grim fandango....etc.....that are bloody good games, but are Windows 95 or DOS only.....

alot of the games came out way before high speed cd readers/writers came along (i think the best was around 16 speed READ back in that day) and so now when you try to install the games, it shouts at you, claiming you need to upgrade your cd drive....cos its too good to be in list on the game disc.....simply cos it was unheard of then!

if any1 can solve that problem, then i will definatley buy you a pint!

this does not include installing a shit cd drive, or buying a 150mhz shitter from 1992 from a boot sale!

if u check the instructions that came with the game and look for instructions on 'Running under DOS' you should be able to run a DOS window and fudge the properties of it and run it in there. Failing that u can create a boot disk for your PC to boot to DOS then run it from there. You may have to jig around with the higher memory settings and stuff like that.
