Rugby League Anyone into it? Really big in parts of Oz. Its actually quite refreshing to see sportsmen respect the officials and each other. Still quite a dull sport though. Just a game of kicking and charging
thought it was all about aussie rules football usedto like watching that when they showed on itv a few years back proper mans game
Aussie rules has turned into a ponces game. All the pretty boys play it and all you can do these days is shoulder barge, so you get gouged etc. Its a grim sport to watch, all about marking, so its like netball, and you even get a point if you miss the middle goal posts, and if you score outside of 50m, you get a 'mega-goal' (extra three points). Shit game, and its only popular in Melbourne really (its hated in Queensland even though thet have a team here). Basically gaelic football with a soft small rugby ball, and Irish gaelic footballers are being brought over for their kicking skills.
Played it for a few years in juniors, didn't particularly enjoy it. It's basically a game for 13 flankers. Crash balls galore and very little creativity. But it's a hard man's sport I'll say that.
im well into league like! it's much better than union and even though its stop start theres more action.
