Royal Mail are a bunch of useless fuck ups

I bought a coat off Ebay recently for ~£80 but since Royal Mail delivered it late I bought another one in time for my trip to London and when I got back I returned the other coat. This was on the 9th of this month and it wasn't exactly a small package that could easily be misplaced but since the seller hasn't recieved it yet I phoned RM to see what was going on and suprise suprise it's still being 'delivered'. If it's not delivered by Wednesday it will be declared as lost and I can claim £30  If anyone see's a delivery guy looking warm and smug, bash him over the head and give him some harsh words on my behalf will you.

I'm kicking myself for not choosing special delivery now.

Apparently this isn't an odd occurance with RM.. I wish i'd known before now.

The Royal Mail is a mint service, Colin I'd love to see you deliver something to the other end of the country by yourself, for less that a fiver.

And you'd probs get fucked and lose it on the way anyway.

Didn't you use special delivery? You should insist on it for all items over £30.

It cost £9 for delivery actually but it's not about how much it costs to send something accross the country.. I could do it for less than a fiver if I had a truck load of other stuff that other people had given me £9 for. When I informed the seller from Ebay they replied saying they aren't suprised because in the past they'd had loads of things go missing.

Judging from my experience with them, I'd have to say they are useless, from a personal point of view. It was delivered late and has no doubt been lost on the way back.

Percentage wise it's not looking good considering I've hardly used RM before and I've never had a problem like this with another service. :( It's fair to say I must have done some bad things as a little kid and now karma has me bent right over..

No, I was planning on it until I got told it was gonna cost me £9.40 or something for recorded delivery and I only had a tenner to my name.

    I think it's a generous donation along with a £80 coat :)
