Routers????

    Routers????

    right...im on AOL so therefore on a BT line...i have a wireless enabled laptop and want a router and adapter for my pc...be it usb or pci i dont care....just to be rid of all the poxy extension wires...all i can find are ethernet routers and ones suitable for cable users...i have a usb modem...where can i get this???

    If your router has a usb connection youll have to buy an ADSL router ie. a router with an ADSL modem built in.

    If it has an RJ45 (looks like a phone plug but bigger) connection then you can use the modem with any router.

    yes u replace ur modem with a modem router. Cuz ur on AOL then they will only support the Netgear DG834G one. Now luckily enough its actually a good router. There are others that will work with AOL with the ones i recommend being the Belkin and Linksys ones but if u have any problems with them and phone AOL for help they will tell u to fuck off so its up to you.

    Oh and u dont need an adapter because ur laptop is wireless enabled already
