    Re: Re: Re: Router

u plug your broadband into that and u can either hard wire the xbox to it or if its going to be quite far away from the xbox then you weill need the wireless adapter for it ( i think the official microsoft wireless adaptors are about 40-50 quid tho )

We arent so bothered about the xbox as its next to the broadband cable, its for the comp and my work laptop as we would need a connection on both at the same time.

This is the one to go for if you have cable IMO:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/103185

done several installs with this and never had a problem and you can be up and running in 10 mins.

    - Turn off your cable modem (this is important)
    - Remove the ethernet cable from your PC that comes from the modem, and place it into the Internet port on the router
    - Use another ethernet cable (supplied) and insert one end into any of the LAN ports on the router, and the other end into your PC
    - Plug in the router and fire it up - insert the CD and go through the installation

After this, turn on your cable modem, and after that you are ready to go.

trance_fan also offers very competitive home installation services :p
