    Router Password

I have a router in me bedroom which is used for my Mams laptop in the house, i wanna connect my Wii to it but have forgot the password which it was used to initially set it up. I probs would of remembered it if i set it up but my cousin did it and no one knows it now

Is there anyway i can get it back so that i can use this on the Wii to play online?

I will probs dig the box/instructions out later see what it says in there and if its any help.

    Cheers

Reclined with my feet up !
the router will probs have a reset button on the back of it to reset it to the factory defaults that came with it, this will also reset any wep keys you have in place tho so you will have to set the whole thing up again for secure access !

Think ours is on the bottom of the router on a bar code mate, that could be the key like...

I think whats happened is it was prompted for a password so no one else could use it, when i scanned the Wii there was about 3 others in my area which i could use but then again they might need passwords.

Im probs gonna have to re-set it unless its just a basica password and hasnt been changed, like a default one.

    :)

If you have the time and patience

    Its a Belkin F5D9230-4

Basically before i was fucking about on the Belkin site and restored a few things and added a password, now when i went onto the laptop it wont connect and says that message above when its saying there's connections avail.

I wish id never fucking bothered now to be honest, i told me mam who for once didnt take me head off.

On the Wii as well it was as if the connection wasnt secure which obv it was before and needs to be.

And yeah you can tell am fkn clueless with PC's....

hmmm, thats a feking nightmare that.

somewhere on the router there SHOULD be a result button - it'll be a TINY hole which you'll have to press with a pen or somthing, and hold it for about 20 seconds (to be safe)

that should reset everything back, and everything should be able to connect to it

i had the same problem with a netgear router, but i've been assure by a couple of people that there should be something to master reset the router on its exterior.

if not, i'll tell barry and paul to come round :D

Gonna have a try later on cos back at work now, if not then i am gonna have to get a mate or summit to do it again so that it works on me PC in me room, the laptop in the house and then the Wii and so that its secure cos i dont know if it is or isnt at the moment with me not using owt other than the PC.

In need to learn to not fuck about with things i know little about basically, thats the top and bottom of it really tho am pleased i havent totally crippled the laptop or PC like i have in past
