    Rockshots on a Friday night

Is having a reunion!!! Used to be a good little rave in there but the violence sometimes afterwards on Waterloo Street between lads from the East End/North Tyneside V West Enders was unreal & ultimate comedown material while waiting for your blue line taxi to turn up, needed a sniff of poppers to take the edge off waiting.

The venue will be the Lounge, opposite central station, Newcastle.
    22nd / 23rd May 2009
    9.00pm - 3.00am

    DJ'S - TNT,SELECTOR C, DIANE, CARLOS
    MC's - BUZZ & KIX

TICKETS = £6 available from mid April at the Lounge

you've just ruined selector C by calling him colin like. i'd rather it remained annonymous.

however i'm definately thinking about going to this, just to kick back to some quality nostalgia, obviously not old enough to be able rockshots but looks good all the same!

(the lounge tho... thats slightly upper class for thiis kind of event???)

Nah the Lounge is pretty ideal, central location, can fill your boots with cheap drinks @ spoons before hand & downstairs is dark & has a low ceiling. The only low point is it range of beers fucking Carlsberg.

It has had quite a few dance/hardcore nights on downstairs recently.

Was just talking about Selector C at work the other day.

The Lounge is fucking weird, went last Thursday night and think we were the youngest people in there (which is saying something)

I came back from uni and don roped me into walking around town with a massive board advirtising the night. Don lost loads of money and we had a party at flat at his near where i live now. I was about 20-21 then so you must of been a teenager.

Setting the tone for things to come really the carrying stupid of the board around town being laughed at.

I think the Friady nights fizzled out around 96 maybe 97.

James you are spot on about the tunes that got played some are looked back as classics from that time, others were then & even more so now a bit cheesy shite.
