RITON To celebrate the re-launch of our monthly party at The Other Rooms, we are proud to play host to the return of Newcastles Prodigal Son, Henry Smithson aka RITON. 2008 is set to be the biggest year yet for Riton, with further Electronic releases under both his own name and his Gucci Soundsystem persona, plus the release of an album by his new project Die Verboeten featuring the Dewaele' Brothers (better know as both Soulwax & 2ManyDJs). Ritons Electro Credentials are assured. Not only was he instrumental in the original electroklash movement which spawned the current Electro-Scene, but his Clubnight "Druzzi's Baltimore Rave Club" in Londons Shoreditch is a veritable who's who of the Major players in the scene, featuring appearances from Erol Alkan, Headman, 2Many Djs, Mylo, Richard X, FC Kahuna to name a few. Fresh from stealing the show at Manchesters WhareHouse project, Riton is coming to Newcastle to destroy the dancefloor with his trademark kitchen sink approach to electronic music.
