You have had the best years of his career, asking for one year when he hasnt even won anything with you's is a bit harsh. He must wish he signed for someone else in his BEST years and maybes ended his career @ Newcastle for one season cos he deserves fooking medals galore for his ability. SAD.:doh:

His career has reached its full potential, I dont think he could of done much more on the pitch, it is the players around him that never rose to his standards.

Then move to Newcastle for his last season to finish a remarkable career off. Shearers love his club cannot be questioned, but you have to question whether he should of signed and stayed for so long when his talents go a lot further than Newcastle United.

Still its why Fergie goes to work @ Manchester United every day just to win the Champions League ,so he can say he has won it more times than the great Sir Matt Busby & I guess winning a trophy for Newcastle is the reason Al keeps playing for Newcastle.
