Here's a bit info on the label from their web site:- Nascent recordings began as an idea born of a friend from Canada Two years ago. Neil Evans and Ross Haswell soon began to take to the notion of starting a label which steered towards the dark techy progressive house music which they both loved. Now we have a roster of 6 recording artists and are ready to make the idea into a reality. The first track signed was 900AF - Compound which we pushed into the hands of Lee Burridge who started spinning it in all his sets around the beginning of last year. However this track, we felt, was not going to represent the sound we wanted to establish and has now been signed to Tune Inn. We moved forward and signed our current artists from production obscurity, and we couldn't believe our luck. The amount of skill they all have is astounding and they all have very healthy futures in production ahead of them. Now we are starting to work with other UK labels such as Steelyard and Choo Choo who we have just commissioned for a Dark-Driver remix for the near future and here at Nascent we are really expecting some big things to happen in 2002. Keep your eyes open for us!!
That 'Furry Funk EP' on Skyline is class. Have to nag 'em to play it tomorrow night I'll be there (eventually!)
