Removing an unwanted homepage from IE

I have some annoying homepage that decided to take over when i use IE, quite simply, how do i get rid?

u on about the pop up or the actual homepage or both?

I'm guessing the popup is as a result of the homepage being there in the first place...so both

Tools -> Internet options..

Not working, i just always get http://iewarning.com/

Use firefox then

Must have a cookie tracker or something or your system that rests the page..

Clear cookies and cache then reset the homepage..

If that still doesn't work do a spyware/adware scan..

I do But i don't like it being there because its spyware

Where's that option?

Tried, spybot, adaware and windows defender

Delete files I believe..

Nope hasn't worked...

Uninstall and Install v7.

get norton, it blocks homepage changing

Yeah it refuses to work on my pc, it goes through the motions of working then just shuts down and closes the browser :evil:

sounds like you've got something nasty. get hijack this - see if anyone can make any sense of it

Norton is by far and away the worst utility software ever made!

Have you ensured you have the latest definitions for Spybot? Do you have version 1.4? Older versions do not get all the latest definitions or immunization signatures.

Run an AVG scan, although browser hijackers are typically not a virus in my experience, it's worth a shot.

In windows defender you should be able to set your homepage and then that will block changes.

In the meantime, clear your cache, cookies, history and temporary internet files.

You should either upgrade to IE7, or get Firefox, both of which will stop that particular problem.

Your hijack this log looks fairly OK....but im no pro at dissecting them.

Could it be your addition "protection" toolbar?

Try uninstalling that or at least de-activating it..

whack the computer like the Fonz does...

Doesn't pick it up.

Just selected the update option in spybot and there was loads of them i haven't picked up

Will re scan and report back...
