    Removable Hard Drives Not Detecting

Right I have 2 hard drives (C and F) and for a long time I havent been able to detect "removable hard drives" such as my iPod, the Flash Memory Stick on my Sony Ericsson w800i and my USB data stick. Is there any way to get my PC to detect these other than formatting my PC as I really cannot be bothered to do it again!

I dont think its anything to do with USB ports as my webcam works fine and when I connect my phone up it detects the phone but not the memory stick. The main pain is the ipod that Ive just spent £230 on but havent been able to use

Uninstall any recent drivers that has anything to do with your ipod or phone.

    Reinstall them?

See if any of the other things that are not working are working after doing this.

Remove any software you have installed from these after removing the drivers.

Go into device manager - view hidden thingies in the menu - go to USB stuff - if any unknown devices uninstall it - if phone in there under modems uninstall it.

See if everything else works then re-install the drivers bit by bit and check if working.

Sort of, its the 2nd best thing I got free from uni the first being my "student grant" aka my entertainment fund. Hope all the tax payers enjoyed it as much as I did.
