    No i remember all to well how he got us relegated by refusing to strengthen the side, and how he refused to strengthen when we were in the top 7, then how he got us relegated again and the millions upon millions of pounds he eventually did waste that put the club on the brink of going out of business, my personal favourite being the £3.5 million he wasted on signing the WRONG Milton Nunez or maybe it was his tactical genius of playing one up front in must win games the first season we got relegated, Peter Reid the only manager who saw David Kelly as a right winger :lol: :lol: the man is a joke he prooved it at us then Leeds now Coventry

    I take on board DickVanDyk's comments but i thought he did pretty well. Saved them from relegation to div 2 with 7 games left. Promoted next season, straight back down cos of shit squad. Just missed out on promotion then got back up next year, then 2xtop 7 finishes.

    Its only the last 2 seasons that I think he was poor?

    the club ended up where we were when he took over in the first division, full of debt with players on massive wages which he paid stupid money for.

    i dont thank him for anything ! im sure Leeds fans dont and Coventry fans dont eithier!

    Just cos someone aint a sunderland fan dont mean they know any less what goes on than we do?? :spangled:

    Reid did EXCELLENT for us to start with then lost the plot towards the end.

    Every1 is quick to forget the good times he brought to sunderland...........
