    recovered images not viewable.. corrupted?

i've recovered some images which i accidentally deleted about 2 months ago.

at first they were viewable but now when i click preview on them/view thumbnails the images don't work. i get 'no preview available' and the thumbnails just give the standard windows picture logo.

does this mean they have permanently corrupted?

i would have thought if this was going to happen it would only happen when the images were ready to be written over.. i'm suspecting windows has continued to do this as and when i've saved music/installed new software.

someone please tell me they are re-recoverable?

Do they still have their file extensions? Like .jpg or whatever?

it can depend on the quality of the recovery program you used. often get fragmentation between the files you recover.

try opening the images using http://www.irfanview.com/
