    Is it possible to record streaming media files?

    If so how, it would be really usefull to me.

    get cool edit pro or some other recording program.

    get a jack 2 jack lead.....take it out of your sound card, then back into the record input on your sound card.

    cool edit is easy to set up, just adjust the record levels and press record....!!!



    so u are just recording whatever is comming out of your sound card.....ie. the live stream/internet radio, whatever....

    what sample rate should i be using to record?

    i always use 44K or about that , which is CD quality....
