recording a mix onto your PC?

    recording a mix onto your PC?

    How do i do it, Do i need any specific program or any leads?

    Any help would be gratefull!

    u need one lead that goes from ya booth or master to ya comp!!!, u can buy on in town mate there only £5 or someit!!! and u need soundforge!!!, ive got a spare copy if ya want it????

    get sound forge for recording on comp (best imo)

    and this lead:

    to go from ur mixer output (double end) and the other end goes in microphone or line in.

    mess round with the volume levels abit then ur sorted!

    You can use windows media encoder if you want to encode it as its playing into your pc - you can use a really high bitrate so it sounds the same as if you captured it directly to a .wav file.

    Another option anyway

    in my lil magic office....
    When I go from my mixer the sound on my PC ends up really loud and distorted. I have to record onto mini disc and go from the mini disc to my computer... :rolleyes:
