Rain rain go away.. GLOBAL GATHERING IS HERE TO STAY....

    GLOBAL GATHERING
    RISING ABOVE THE STORMS!
    Long Marston Airfield, 27/28 July

Global Gathering is full steam ahead for this weekend! Lucky enough for Global Gathering festivalgoers, the site in Long Marston has not been affected by the adverse weather conditions in the Midlands and surrounding areas.

During the weekend, Stratford Upon Avon was been a hive of media attention with helicopters and film crews surveying the floods but festival organisers are pleased to inform ticket holders that the event is situated some five miles outside of Stratford Upon Avon where flood waters have subsided.

The festival takes place on a disused airfield built with quality drainage systems which make it an ideal place to host the sixteen arena’s that make up the world’s most popular dance and live music weekender. Long Marston Airfield is on flat ground and not to susceptible to flooding. The campsite also has good drainage and is equipped with hot showers and full amenities such as provision shops and bars. Therefore organisers are confident of being able to host a safe, well managed event.

The festival organisers advise ticket holders to come equipped for all weather conditions and the website: www.globalgathering.co.uk provides a list of recommended essentials.

As of Monday 23rd July, transport links to the event are completely clear with roads and trains unaffected.

The event headliners Faithless and Basement Jaxx alongside 150 of the best DJ talent on the planet are all geared up for the festival event of the Summer.

One of the festival organisers, James Algate says, “We are once again expecting over 50,000 people to have the weekend of their lives. We also wish to reassure ticket holders that after being on site for the past week, the airfield and traffic routes are totally unaffected by the recent floods. Despite bad weather our customers have already been calling into the office saying that they are determined to enjoy the weekend and that really shows the affection the ticket holders have for the biggest dance event in the world.”
