    Quicktime

For some reason when I open an MP3 or MPG link they're opening in Quicktime rather than Windows Media Player.

Does anyone know how to change it back so they open in WMP again?

    Cheers!

Open a folder then Tools > Folder Options > File Types - chanege what it opens with. Thats the evil of Quicktime - Realplayer does the same.

Get the alternatives  (Real Alternative and Quicktime Alternative)

Tried this but still when I open any MP3 or MPG/MPEG files they open with Quicktime?!?!?!

    Any more suggestions?

Uninstall Quicktime and get these alternatives? Links?

there will be a number of listing for them, change them all. Plus, go into the setting of Quicktime and look for something like "check if any program changes these associations"

For alternatives, there's both on here : http://www.click-now.net/

Changed them all!! Found the settings on Quicktime aswell and unchecked all MP3/MPG file types so they shouldn't play...but they do!!!

Found this "check if any program changes these associations"....should I tick it? Or take the tick out!!?!?!?!?

Right click on the file you wish to open.
    Click Properties.
Look @ opens with.. click the change button.
Select the program you wish to play the selected file type with and tick the "always use the selected program to open this kind of file".

    Joy

Also use VLC media player. It will play anything you throw at it..
    Except perhaps 3gp files ;)

    Double Joy

For Quicktime? Already have, no joy!!!

MIME stands for Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions, and there's an option to change them , so I'm gonna try that!!
