    Quayside on NYE

Do they still have the fireworks and stuff on down there? Whats the banter with having to get wristbands etc, know you used to have to when i was working in a bar in town a few years back though not sure what the craic is now.

    Grazias in advance :)

Im hoping to get down to either The End or Warehouse project on new years day so weighing up options for something cheap and cheerful to do on NYE.

Im doing fuck all mate, staying round the doors this year, more likely a house party or something of the likes: no cunts in bars, no cold, no struggling to get home with taxi's. Every year I've been out it's been a total waste of time & ended up spending a fortune, infact scrub that the last ever Shindig 2 years ago @ Foundation was pretty immense, other than that it's been shite, year in year out on NYE.
Played Poland last NYE as you well know (had the great idea of doing something different) what a disaster, never again

Ah you may be thinking of the time claire came with me & john..? that was a while back, few years I think now. Last year I took Jess, landed (in a T-Shirt true Geordie style) the promoter couldn't speak a word of the queens, and im trying to find the Hotel he'd never booked walking round Krakow in sub zero temperatures whilst having her bending my lug that she's cold.

Gets to the club.... Jess still in hotel getting ready... misses my set so im sat on my own talking to people who dont have the foggiest what im on about to then get walked (still in T-shirt) half way around Poland while some Polish fruit cake tries to book me into a Hotel on NYE:rolleyes:

All in all was a memorable night, id recommend it to anyone wanting frostbite.

Fucking hell aye, i remember yous going over there now - i was thinking initially of when Claire, Baldy etc went too.

Sounds like a pretty successful gig if im honest.... wasnt it Jess's birthday when you were over there?

"Happy birthday darling, its -30, we have no hotel and noone else in the club speaks a word of english.... hope youre having a good one"

    ;)

I'm the other way, last new year was shite and i can't remember havin an amazin NYE since the wet party at GC years ago. Think i went to it about 2002 if i remember right.

Didn't even think that night at the dig in foundation was all that, i had a good night but i've had much better nights at shindig.

This is why i chose to go away coz for me house parties are just the same as other house parties all year round, thats not a bad thing but for me it was a case of, same old same old.

You know youre struggling to hold a decent new years house party when your guests are leaving in the early hours and telling you that they "have had better..." on their way out

Going with mates it would have been a totally different story as you are this year in Berlin. for me last year was an experience id rather not relive for a good few years.

I dont think we got that wrecked the minute I landed on NYD....? minute you knew your gig wasn't going ahead it was LOSTIT.COM
