    quality of premiership footy

    is poor imo

I'm sitting here watching another shit game on Sky Sports wondering why i'm bothering

Apart from the gooners - who are on a different planet - and can play with the cigar on for most of a prem match before winning, chelski - who have quality but still bore the other team to death before winning and to a lesser extent man u - who have slipped from their great team of a few years back....the standard is shocking

Yesterday's game was shocking before Everton scored from a set-piece. Tonight Charlton and Blackburn have been wank. There was a 0-0 the other week between Charlton and Saints. In fact when was there last a decent game on Sky

Teams can't pass straight, have no invention, lack of goals and quality. Dear oh dear. Bring back barclays div one!

Players are getting paid too much now thats why and there just not fucking bothered anymore - the league used to be one of the most wanted leagues to play in for the football, now its just about the coin and alot of players dont pull there weight !!

It has been for a few years, the gap from the top 3 to the rest is massive.

    That's why the Everton's, Bolton's & Charlton's can compete at that level.

There is far too much focus on negative tactics! Many coaches are far too defensive and are willing to defend a one goal lead or play for a draw! Where's the fun in that??? If the fans desert the stadiums due to the quality it would drain the money from the game and lead to changes! I cant see that happening tho, money is everything.

I cant defend my own team playing negative tactics at home... its not what I want to see and I wouldnt pay for it.

Its a disgrace imo... I can understand trying to bring a club forward and so it can be neccessary at times to get results, but on the whole it is damaging to football.

Basing a team (or even a league... many teams in serie a have been guilty of it in the past, but its not universal) on negative tactics is not benificial to the fans even if it does get results. Boro fans learned that under bryan robson, when the tactics began to fail his time was up. McClaren on the whole seems to know what he is doing.

    Good luck with souness
