    PVD on Tiesto...

Nicked from the meganite board! :p

"If you look around, like some of my colleagues, they do things that, you know, I would hope music would never have to go through. I mean this music is not done for some cheesy concert shit, with some magician playing stuff, or some weird Mickey Mouse bullshit; this music is done for like clubs, it's done for events where people go out and want to listen to their music; and this is what music actually should be like." - Paul van Dyk

    Re: PVD on Tiesto...

Nice to see someone at the top of the profession has finally said what alot of people have been saying for a very long time.

IMO music like wot-we-listen-to belongs in dark clubs with flashing lights .... not in the middle of a theme park with fireworks.... That has been the death of clubland, and in part - Tiesto has contributed to it.

Lets hope this kicks off something which benefits all of us.

It all about the money imo. I bet Tiesto got paid MEGA BUCKS to play at Disneyland! I bet if other DJ's were offered the same gig and amount of money they'd have also took it. At the end of the day these guys are just making a living.

hes the far better dj and leaves tiesto in the shade which is why tiesto goes on first, cant a dj make a statement nowadays without people making too much of it

make sure u pick this little baby up next time u see tiesto, remember if you want to be like tiesto, youve gotta eat like tiesto

PVD is also a bit of a sell out...Even the mighty carl cox sold out all those years ago to play a more popular style of music

Lee - I wouldn't say changing you style of music could be classed as selling out
