The hack method is dependant on the model of psp you use. The older ones require a simple firmware flash which was over and done with in minutes. Some of the newer ones required something called a Pandoras Battery (hardware you need to buy) which was a little bit more complicated but still rather easy to do. I'm not sure if there is a hack at the moment for the new slimline models as I haven't needed to do any.

What model of PSP is it you have?

Slim has a brighter screen and more memory but graphics and game loading time etc hasn't changed. Thing with the slim 3000 series the firmware on it needs to be 5.03 or lower for it to be hackable I think, anything higher and there is no hack available at the moment so it would maybe be an expensive paperweight.

I think it's pretty much the same as nintendo in terms of the newer games etc but i believe you can patch the games to make them work. Read up on Game Patcher and Game Decrypter.

psp 3000 can be hacked as long as the original firmware on the machine is v5.03 or lower.

Have a look through that, I personally think handhelds are shite and the games terrible but they sell well so either i'm right or everyone that buys them is retarded... or both :p
