    Propoganda with Propoganda?

I remember watching on the news awhile back the Americans were setting up arab radio stations that could be picked up over Iraq for the Iraq people to listen to, and also dropping leaflets in the areas with anti sadam feeling and propoganda on them.

Now let me get this right, the Americans don't like Sadam doing this to his own people, brainwashing them or whatever you want to call it but it's ok for the Americans to do it? not only to the people of Iraq but they've done the same back home to the people in the US

Surely any kind of propoganda is wrong?

Maybe another case of it's only right if the Americans are doing it

good topic and some very interesting facts there. i wasnt aware of that propaganda thing by the yanks. makes you laugh tho.

i agree all propaganda is wrong. people should be allowed to make their own judgements on things by being shown the facts. only problem is how do we know what the actual facts are and not what the government want us to know. :)

its the same with history. its just one persons view of the events that happened. you cant tell me that they were completely unbiased when writing it. :)

History is written by the winning side!

The US are no better than many of the states they condemn. Anyone who thinks we have access to all the information we need is misguided. All governments restrict access to information, keep secrets, etc. Some govts use propoganda to encourage it's people to believe what isn't strictly true.

People who spread this un-truth are called Spin Doctors. New Labour has loads of em

    Q. How can you tell when a politician is lying?
    A. Words are coming out of his mouth

We're ALL kept in the dark by govts, some more than others. It's all the same thing, it just varies in degree
