if you've got the time I will toss the salad

tbf this would only be started by someone who doesnt runtheir own night and honestly anyone who takes the time to establish something has my respect.

there are plenty of local ones who have different talents, but its either pure dedication or shear stupidity to be able to go and lfyer in the cold at 3am in the morning when the freaks come out of a sweaty ass affair.

I still think the best promoter there has been in recent years has been madders nand locally probbaly skev and his associates around the timeof the race course gigs

    :)

Running twisted ive been in contact with alot of promoters, theres quite a few i deal with regularly who are spot on and do things professonally, theres a few i personally dont like, who have got there heads up there own arses & theres a few close to home that i aint got time for and who'd stab you in the back as soon as its turned.

cheers mate, yeah we've been doing it for about for 4-5 years now so we know a little, but your always picking things up as you go along.

helping local nights is the best way, but theres a few that dont see it like that which makes life alot harder and is very annoying.

Name names, howay you know you want to.

I have helped oot plenty , Cause and effect, CNE, freaky dancing, influence, vibration , vuzz (when gav was in charge), derek & thunda (just from a contacts point of view), sunday trading, ggm,

I want names of who to avoid in future, having said that I probably know already.

having said that like, proper "professionals" laughing at you when they are sat 2 feet from you might not go down too well either

    aye.
    agreed

before vuzz & twisted started again last summer trance in newcastle revolved 100% around promise. now were getting to see a lot of up & coming dj's locally, people ive wanted to see for a while but arent 'big' enough for promise to book. its really good for the local scene imo!! :D

For the best nights that I've enjoyed in the past year, I rate the Freaky Dancing crew (beach party was poss the best night ever :D ), the Detox posse, the Backlash lot, the Resistance boys, and the Influence gang.

As yBnB says, big respect to anyone that puts the effort into running a night - especially when the motivation is enjoyment and not cash. Newcastle has got a banging underground scene due to everyone that plays and promotes, and I hope it stays that way. :)

Wow! youve put on about 10 partys all of them with under 100 people and still most of those people are off here. Well Done.
