Promise Vs Crasher (the final word!!!)

We've all been argueing over this for ages now and I wanna know which do you prefer?

I used to prefer crasher, it won hands down... but lately it's lost its magic its just a posing ground... If you can't do flappy hand dance faster than the speed of light or your not in the latest cyberdog spandex your lookjed down on!!!!

Promise on the other hand hasn't failed me I think the last shit night I had was parks and wilson last summer (I think).... since then it just gets better and better... the people are amazing, the music is amazing, the dj's are amazing.... Its just never ceases to amaze me - but the best part about promise is I feel part of.... Its our club everyone gets along - it doesn't matter who you are, what you are, how you look, how you dance - we're all there for the same reason - a good night!

and as for crasher... well it wont

tis a tough one cos i think as promise is still growing where as crasher has kinda reached a certain level

i know i might get slated seein as though this is the promise msg board but i prefer crasher to promise

the line ups are both about equal in greatness, but there is just sumit special about GC that promise doesnt have but this is because its still young! also GC has the edge with the republic being a fantastic venue and while foundation looks nice, its pretty borin in general and promise could do alot better!

crasher has a kind of history too with all the cyberkids and stuff which also makes it what it is, if you see wot i mean?!? im kinda ramblin cos i do love both clubs...i dunno...i just get excited bout goin to crasher more than i do about promise thats all

I know whatcha mean mr dave but I disaghree - I think crasher now is running on its history... its no longer living up to its reputation, where as promise exceeds its reputation.

Cyberkids and the whole crasher legacy is something I doubt promise or any other lcub will ever reach, but that was then, now is now - clubbing needs something new and exciting - promise may not be there yet but its certainly well on the way I think...

Unlike you i get very excited before going out to promise, I think it has miles to go and probably if it were just one night at promise and one night at crasher - crasher may win... but you go to crasher expecting so much with such high expectations and you always go away feeling disappointed cos it never lived up to what you hoped.... where as you always go away from promise thinking how fucking good!

ive never come out of crasher though bein dissapointed...ive had nights that werent as good as others but really its wot u make of the nite that makes it was it is.

i do look forward about goin to promise though, i dunno...maybe its just cos crasher kinda of got me into the clubbin scene n stuff that i like it more

im not sayin promise is bad though...its deffo up there with the best of em

also the fact that we compare the two even though crasher is seen as a superclub and promise is only an ickle baby kinda tells you how good promise is

well i think they are both crap

butthats just me who only comes out to play at 9am and cuts out the boring bits

its funny how sometimes the best parts of the weekend are the afterparties and theres often times when i look more forward to them than the actual clubs themselves

although i must say back in the messy summer of 2002-2001 i did prefer a night at promise than a bitchy night at crasher

maybe its the closeness u get from knowing u only need walk a few metres to find ur mates than trawl the whole club...and i dont like the heat in the main room of crasher cus it aint good for my rheumatism and other premature old folks diseases

then again..out of lots of really good nights at promise i have had a few amasingly good nights/weekends at crasher

the only think is if u only go to afterparties....people usually forget that they were meant to ring u at 6am when theyve had a few...lol

thinkin about it though sometimes i really dont like afterparties...had the best ones ever though when we've come home from a club and everyone has gone to sleep for a few hours and then decided to get a bit messy again! that way u are refreshed for more messyness!

the future lies in aftersleep afterparties!

naah the best ones are when its the same few people your comfy with and your all at the same level of batterdness n when the shite is flowing full flow

its just awful when people start going to sleep, i hate that bit

but when everyone wakes up and realises theres still loadsa fun to be had then its great because no one is grumpy from bein tired from bein out and everyone ends up on the same wavelength again

i likes em this way better me...

also theres more chance of there only bein a few people too and theres deffo no scary randoms

well your friends must be better than my friends....cus mine never wake up

i like an active comedown...with missions and such...not lying round waiting for people to wake up

once ive given in to the fact i cant stay awake forever i usually get upset for a while then im ok....but i hate the bit when people start dozing and im left there reeeeallly wanting to speak but not being able to think of anything to say to sleeping people lmao

thats wot i dont like bout afterparties...it kinda drags out the nite makin it then seem a bit poo...if you can get to sleep you wake up after thinkin how good it was and then if you are naughty you start the messyness again!

i dont do the daytime sleep thing and i dont sleep easily after a night out

i like to stay up until my normal bedtime the following night then fall into a HOOOOOOJ bed with loads of pillows and blankets

sleep is a nasty, horrible waste of awake time. me thinks it should be made illegal!!!

After parties are poop... everyone just gets stoned (among other things).... missions are far more fun - setting little challenges like squirrel chasing.

agree with smart e on the after party thing. i think dope should be declared the most boring drug ever!! going on missions and doing mad things like invading random peeps homes @ 2am is much more fun!!

Oh I got a mission for friday!!! We'll have a competition to see who can get into the most houses pretending they've come for the after party!

i love promise and gatecrasher the same!!!!lately they have both been brill.....for the past 5 weeks, (apart from picotto @ gc), ive been amazed by promise and gc and had the time of my life!!!!thank you!

and on the subjects of after parties, its allways better if everyone has a bit of sleep first, and then to the play park!!!!
