    Promise last night

Although it's currently 2.40am, I'll call this thread "promise last night"....well, sorry, but they made a big stupid mistake putting it on Friday AND Sunday - upstairs wasn't open tonight and it was still bloody empty!!

I would be surprised if there was 100 people in there!

Not impressed at all to be honest. They should really think about it more :(

last night was really quiet when we got there, shame askew was on early like he was still quality though, dropped AKA not long after we got there  cant remember much else as was fairly drunk when i got in

got a bit busier after the pig & whistle kicked out like, theres nothing that beats gurning charvers with their tops off to give a club an excellent atmosphere  ended up leaving at around 12.30 so missed adam's set :( really hope the crowd last night isnt a sign of things to come for promise, i was even tempted to call into ikon on the way home as thought there'd be less charvers

is a shame as well, it was by far the best line up this year imo.

does anyone have any ideas what promise/foundation need to do to get people through the doors or is this just because it's the bank holiday weekend?

    :(

Couldn't make it last night, gutted that it didn't do well though. The line up was class.

Had a feeling Askew would play AKA.

last night probably did okay numbers wise, was a few hundred in when i left about 12.30, it was just a totally different crowd to normal. hopefully this was just a one off like, theres normally a few charvers in for jules/pearce ect, didnt expect them all to be out for this night though :spangled:

the next few months line ups are a massive improvement in the last 12 months at promise imo, showing more imagination booking marcel woods, askew and getting o'bir & sheridan back. if it continues the night should do okay as it should start getting more clubbers to go more regular, as much as everyone goes on about digital i still prefer foundation as a club, its just a shame it hasnt got any really strong nights left apart from promise.
