    Promise @ Hidden Birmingham

Just seen this add in a magazine, is this the same Promise or has some body stolen the name and using it in the Midlands?

The line up looks far to funky to be a PROMISE night?

You would have thought that someone who has anything to do with it would have heard of Promise.....looks like they have just wasted a lot of money on advertising at the very least!!!

Not really - you'd be suprised how many people don't know of Promise, Promise doesn't have the fame that other clubs of its size have (Good Greef, Garlands, etc.), unlike these clubs it doesn't advertise as heavily.... most people who know of Promise know of it by word of mouth - tis kinda like a well kept secret :D

I personally reckon this is good though makes the club feel more intimate - the numbers aren't going down, they're slowely increasin but its a loyal following as opposed to band wagon jumpers who've read the latest ad in mixmag :D

But everytime I go to a southern/midlands club a lot of people haven't heard of promise, specially if they cater for other music genres like funky or hard house :D

I think it is probably as smart e says a coincidence rather than them trying to trade on Promise's name. Either way we are going to try to sort it out later this week.

though it is probs a coincidence, I wouldn't exactly say that Promise isn't unknown outside the NE. They get regular national press and I keep getting e-mail's from kiddas wanting to come from all over the UK about what they should wear. I always advise the girls to come to mine for a personal consultation

P.S. if it's not a coincidence I'll hire a white van and Clarki can supe up his Nova so the promise massive can all get busy on brum

Once they've paid up for violating Promise's trademark they could maybe change their name to 'Broken Promise'!!!! :)

    Or maybe not.......................

    ....sorry :( ;)
