No thanks to some sneaky sod getting there before me, i had to settle for a 5-a-side pitch this time! It'll make for a really interesting game since theres less space to play in, and a few of us really like to use what space is available

Anyway.. heres whats happeneing in the world of Promise FC after a discussion over several pints of beer...

There was an option to go for a block booking.. at 8:30pm - and the general concensus was that this is WAAAY too late for most people. That leaves me with the only option of booking it extra early.. at 9am every week before the game. I'll set a txt reminder for this so i dont forget.

Ok - rant over.. pop ya name on the thread below IF YOU CAN CONFIRM YOU CAN PLAY!

Due to popularity, and Marks excellent idea, we're having an 11-a-side this week Cash will be £2, it's going into the kitty for covering costs when people are missing, or free games if theres enough

So.. confirm your attendance, i'll put up the players list
Remember, if you got football boots, dig them out! If not, astroturf boots will do ok.. after all the rain you'll neeed them

Game starts WEDNESDAY 2nd JULY, at 7PM
Meet outside Foundation for transport, £2 for the game

Proceeds go to the Promise FC fund for future use, all of which will bedecided by you lot at the game or in a board discussion.

For future reference, heres the offical word about cancellation Copied directly from the back of my Membership Card:

"A pitch booking may be cancelled as follows:

BEFORE 2PM, 2 DAYS BEFORE - NO CHARGE
BEFORE 2PM, A DAY BEFORE - 1/2 CHARGE
ALL OTHER TIMES - FULL CHARGE"

So.. if we're gonna play on the 7-a-side court at Westgate in future, I need to know the attendance list by Monday Morning at the latest so i cna cancel and avoid any charges.

You gotta confirm you can make it - we had 2 drop out last week but we were lucky the cost evened out.

Price for the 5-a-side pitch is £35, so for 10 players it'll still work out at £3.50 to play.

Sounds goods to me, been a while since i played grass but i'll be happy to play again! If you wanna play grass this week i need to cancel the 5-a-side pitch now, else we get charged half the pitch cost!

Well, we've pased the 1st deadline for cancellations.. it means we pay for half the cost of the court even if we don't use it -

£35 /2 = £17.50

2nd deadline is 2pm tomorrow, after that, we pay full price either way.
To save any confusion in the future, i'll grab a copy of the conditions on the back of my Membership Card.
