NEWCASTLE IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF A TRANCE NIGHT, REGULAR WITH BIG NAME DJS , YEAH HOUSE MUSIC AND OTHERS ARE VERY GOOD BUT WHATS MISSING IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL.

TRANCE IS NEEDED AND WANTED BADLY BY SO MANY IN NEWCASTLE AND FOR A MAJOR CITY THIS SHOULD BE ACTED UPON.

to be fair promise didnt finish due to low numbers, the recent promises i went to were packed, ornadel & woods, hardwick & marco v, cant remember was on before that but the only time i ever remember promise being quiet was in the final weekly days.

Gods trance nights are on the exact same night as Passion that means either both are gonna not be packed or one will one wont which is the case depending on whos on.

As for trance in Newcastle its a bit difficult, its so far north not many people will travel its like expecting us to travel all the way to Passion every month.

there is still a demand for trance in newcastle, though unfortunatly it does attract a lot of the checky shirt brigade. you cant really take nights like vuzz into consideration imo, as despite the efforts of paul, scott and everyone else that got behind the night it just didnt have the backing/venue to get anywhere, and operated at a constant loss.

imo if you put a decent monthly trance night on it would get busy enough to keep it going, as long as you were booking good dj's that people want to see and had a decent enough venue. theres a difference between making enough money to keep going and having thousands queing up outside, which isnt likely to happen again until the next time trance becomes cool again, and people start making tunes that get crossover success and get people that arent diehards listening to trance.

i think it was stuff like this which pissed everyone off though, rumours which dissapeared, the promoters hinting then hiding
