    Promise And Vuzz

this is the first and probably the last time i venture on to this board but i feel i have to make a point or two.

i go to both promise and vuzz regulary and enjoy both so i feel i can give an objective opinion which seems to have surpassed most of you.

yes we all know gav was approached by iain and neil and yes we know that egypt cottage are making it hard for gav to book again but quite frankly what on earth has it got to do with you.

now don't get me wrong i am all for loyal support of gav but in your tiny little brains do you honestly believe that all this dribble is actually aiding him in anyway. i think not.

gav is a big boy and quite capable of looking after himself and his night, he has done alright so far, his non confrontational approach keeps talks amicable whilst allowing him to do what he wants.

all you have managed to do is to aggrevate a situation which was awkward to begin with and push people to make responses. now club promters and other people within the music business are volatile little creatures which when backed into a corner will snap out often in a rash manner and the outcome may not be what they or you wanted.

no one bar a few people will exactly know the full story and thanks to you all (with too much time on your hands) we probably never will. whether iain or neil approached gav with promise's backing or not doesn't really matter they saw a night doing well and wanted to become involved. wow shock horror. do you all live in wonderland? you certainly don't have anything to do with the club scene in newcastle. if you did you would know lots of discussions about nights merging, nights closing, nights trying to out do each other and various other points go on all the time, this is the real world, sadly i hate to break it to you the world is not all fluffy and nice. and the only way these points are solved are by disscussion and stragegic plans by the parties involved. not by people acting like 13year old school girls bitching in the playground. i repeat you may think you have forced mark to comment on this issue but was that wise, what have you achieved apart creating tension between gav, mark, neil and iain. well done, pat yourselves on the back.

i know i have waffled on quite considerably and for that i do apologise but felt i had to say something.

final point, name calling is all rather childish i know gav well and support his night but that does not mean i have to resort to being derogatory about iain. he is a nice bloke and does not derserve to be spoken about like that especially when you do not even know him.
