    Programs to put together videos/pics

    I need a program that can easily make a video consisting of various video clips and pictures. Some simple but nice effects and text would be nice too. Anyone? It needs to be a fairly easy program to use as i need to do it all in a day :(

    vegas video is quite good i managed to pick it up by messing about on it for a couple of hours.

    If you have XP there's Windows Movie Maker (Start Menu>Programs>Accessories).

    Fairly basic but should do the job...
