producing anyone live in newcastle interested in getting together to do some production? will probably be breaks or dnb but im up for anything really, finding it hard to get motivated on my own better when you can bounce ideas of eachother
I'm up for it!!! I'm looking for someone to show me the ropes!!! I'm a novice but i have a good ear for music
i meant the good ear for music bit just play and play and play with the gear/software until it makes a noise that you like. Add that to a bit of expert advice every so often and you'll be making neighbour annoying noise in no time i reckon the hardest thing about making music is the battle against your own patience Reason is a good place to start imo because it teaches you a bit about everthing (due to the amount of inbuilt fx/synths etc) without having to get bogged down with millions of plugins. Theres some really good guides to things like Compression, EQ and Reverb etc on the Sound On Sound website....ive learnt so much by reading articles in magazine like SOS, Future Music etc etc
did you read the James Holden thing last month? he made some of the beats on his album by wacking a teddy bear against his desk
Jimi i'd take offence if you even had a clue what you were on about. You know where i live if you have a problem....
i produce but i live in leeds now, due to the love of producing and engineering. so im not available for face to face work. but iv worked online with ppl before. someone starts, gives the other a listen then they do a bit or give an idea, then it progress's from there. only problem i was really shit when i done this so it got nowhere lol.
i know its fuckin class ive made some of the best percussion of my life recording me clashing bbq utensils agains different surfaces and cutting em up
