    Pound to Euro atm

Working in an exchange bureau I see the rate every day. Not sure if everyone is aware of the drop in exchange rate lately. You will not get a better rate than 1.22 euro's to the £ anywhere today.

With the summer just around the corner & the rate so low, our summer holidays are gonna be so much more expensive this year, last year I got 1400 euros for roughly £985 compared to today's rates £985 will get just less than 1200 euro's.

Thats a loss of 200 euro for roughly every £1000 changed & I cant see the cost of things on holiday falling.

    Your thoughts?

Its gonna get worse aswell ...... every time they drop interest rates in the UK it means the pound gets weaker against every other currency which means you get less euro's for the pound.

Makes you seriously think about how much european holidays are going to cost this year, especially when 5-6 euro beers are like 4-5 odd quid once you work it out!

The amount of shit its causing at work (me dealing with overseas pensions) - was working on the contact centre today as it was my turn on some rota we have and alot of the calls were customers thinking we had fleeced them of so much a month cos the exchange rate is that bad.

Some are litteraly loosing loads and in tears cos of it.

Shouldnt fucking of moved abroad, problem solved innit.
