    Post help.

    I need some info on special delivery stuff. Got a piece going to my rents house but im in leeds. most likely they wont be there to sign for it. Would they be able to collect it for me from the post office.

    I think they keep it in the depot for a week or so, you can arrange to have it taken to the post office for 50 pence

    i live in leeds n it will be held in jarrow. dont reckon theyll send that for 50p.

    That's the one, I think that deliveries get sent to the depot so it might be easier to just go there. They should post a slip through the door with it, or post it if they can and it's not requiring a signature.

    Yup Rossy is spot on. IF your not in then a slip will be put through the door saying it will be at your local depot for collection before 12pm the next day. and/or you can give them a ring to send it out again.

    yeah it used to be ready to pick up in a few hours time but now its the next day... does that mean the postie keeps it for a night or what??

    sometimes there will be some scribbling out with '3 hours' or something written on in pen. I think it all depends on the time of day.
