    Sabotinis down the quayside

(where ness and i went on our first date then kissed in the middle of the 'minellium' bridge)

think real italian waiters, gorgeous food, the usual pizza pasta, but like wild mushrooms in garlic, peppered steak, pollo al crema, just byootiful! dont forget to finish off with a wild strawberry and mascarpone cheesecake with a biscuit base and a short of amaretto

or, that spanish tapas bar just down from the empress on that massive hill, el torrero i think its called? selections of tapas include parma ham, meats, cheeses, breads, a cracking paella delicious pickie nibbly things that you dont think will fill you up but bloody hell they do!

McCoy's @ The Baltic. Just been voted the best non-michelin stared resturant outside London. :D

Awesome views from the windows as well.

For value for money and quality food you can't beat the Big mussel (Quayside) or Al Fornos (Cradlewell - Jesmond).

the food is excellent at the baltic, you pay for what you get though.

3 courses plus wine for two of you and your looking at £100-120.
