    Pop ups

Ever since I installed the new IE I keep getting these flash pop ups appearing on certain sites - myspace esp - they don'thave any way of closing them though and obstruct whatever your looking at (usually minge), almost like they are embedding themselves in the webpage...

nothing seems to be working in ridding them either...

I'm thinking these random friend requests are loaded with viruses..

    anyone else had the same?

in the past few days, i've had a couple when browsing Yahoo news, it's usually legit adverts, there's nowt u can do, unfortunately, i don't think.

although, sleezander reckons his 'banner blocker' in NortonSystem Works blocks stuff like that

cheers phil... yeah as you say mostly legit for lycos etc. there has to be some other way than pressing 'stop' in between the page and the ad loading up!

am I wrong in assuming this norton jobby as well as frying everything in sight, also sucks every last bit of ram from your pc, melts your processor, commandeers your recycle bin and turns your start menu a norton shade of yellow, leaving you at its mercy?

    alex?

Yes. unless u use your PC for producing happy hardcore, in which case it seems to feel sorry for you, and lets your PC run normally.
