    They need cars like this for the motorways, the usual souped up T5's, Jags and BMW's cost a fucking bomb aswell :up:

    i've seen the police murcielago both on my way to silverstone and parked up when i got there. (it got there quite a bit quicker than we did)

    crackin tho, not a hope in hell of outrunning them!

    How fast are the people they are trying to catch driving?

    I'd say if a chase if fast enough to need this cop car both the police and the car they are chasing are putting everyone around them at risk to an unacceptable level.

    What a fucking waste of money, blatant PR stunt. :oops:

    Looks a bit fishy to me (photoshopped?)

    If it is true - just goes to show how much of our money is totally wasted these days - Who needs a 200mph car to catch criminals?

    How many crims drive 200mph cars? Why do they need chasing with all the cameras and helicopters we have?

    An imprezza is about a quarter of the cost and is good for 160 odd - far faster than the average nicked car, which are becoming pretty much impossible to steal these days anyways with immobilisers and stuff.

    The ones that are given to the police though are quite cool - Porsche give 911's to the German police which look fab :D

    i just scanned the article, does it say they will be used or is it just for a police show?

    i cant understand the use of it.. fair enough you can catch up with cars.. but whats that gonna do? u need to ram em off the road and these cars arent good for that :)

    it's been around for ages. they use it as a promotional tool to try and stop people from driving too fast. It's usually present at the start of the gumball etc.
